On this day, 23 years ago, the world lost the princess of R&B; Aaliyah Haughton who died with eight others in a plane crash in the Bahamas.
During her lifetime, Aaliyah was a trendsetter and released 3 studio albums which earned her awards and several nominations, and 2 posthumous compilation albums. She also had roles the movies, Romeo Must Die and Queen of the Damned
Aaliyah was 22 at the time of her death and she and her music live in our hearts forever. 💞🕊
