Tom Grattan's War (1968- 1970)

 

                                   

Tom Grattan's War was a BBC period series, starring Michael  Howe as Tom Grattan, a 15-year-old  boy sent to live with the Kirby family on their Yorkshire farm, while his father is on the battlefield during World War I. 

During his stay, Tom soon realised life in the country was not as peaceful as he expected, as he and his cousin Julie (Sally Adcock) fell into one adventure after another; from unearthing German spies to discovering dangerous secret weapons meant to be used against their soldiers. The series was narrated by English actor Richard Warner. 

 The 4-disc DVD was released in 2009.
