Gal Gadot Cast As Evil Queen in 'Snow White'

 Israeli actress Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984) has been cast to play the Evil Queen-Snow White's stepmother- in the live action adaptation of the 1937  animated musical  Disney film, Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. Based on the classic 1812 fairytale by the Brothers Grimm (Jacob and Wilhiem), it was  Disney's first  full length animated film. According to reports, Snow White's story will be expanded and new songs will be featured in place of the ones used in the original; the new ones composed by song writers, Beng Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman).

The main character, Snow White,(the very first Disney Princess) will be played  by Rachel Zelger who will make her debut as Maria in Spielberg's Westside Story in December.

Filming is expected to begin in 2022.
