Photo of the Week: 'FESTAC '77'
The Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture took place in Lagos, Nigeria; from the 15th of January to the 12th of February, 1977. This event was a major international festival and at the time, the largest Pan-African gathering to take place.
Known as FESTAC '77, participants representing 56 African nations and Africans in diaspora showcased African art, religion music, literature, drama and culture.
