Hocus Pocus 2: Parker, Midler & Najimy Reunite

 Sarah Jessica Parker is  reprising another role besides Carrie Bradshaw; as she is currently filming the sequel to the 1993 Disney fantasy comedy horror film, Hocus Pocus- reuniting her with co-stars Bette Midler and Kate Najimy. The original film also started then child actors, Omri Katz and Thora Birch and was directed by Kenny Ortega; known for directing Pretty in Pink, High School Muscial and Michael Jackson's This is It. 

Parker was reportedly seen filming the upcoming sequel outside the Newport based Old Colony House-built in 1741- in Rhode Island. The sequel, directed by Anne Fletcher, is set 30 years after the events of the previous film, where the three witches (Parker, Midler and Najimy) seek revenge after waking up in present day Salem, Massachusetts and three teenagers set out to stop them. Also featuring are Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Doug Jones and Taylor Henderson. According to Disney +, Hocus Pocus 2 will premiere in its streaming service in 2022.  

Hocus Pocus's plot... 

A trio of witch sisters, executed in the 17th century, return to  present day Salem, Massachusetts after they are resurrected by a teenage boy and begin terrorising the town's children. Luckily, the children have an unexpected ally... a talking black cat!  Trailer.
